So, getting involved volunteering at the local alternative high school is not unlike delivering Zidane's epic riposte to any bad mood that wants some. Just saying.
One helpful woman seemed to grow slightly nonplussed after she told me that they could do my background check immediately and I replied, "Great!"
I wonder if she was thinking "Hmm..so is this guy going to rob a bank later today or something?" ;)
(I was just thinking that if they had such a quick system in place, hey I'd be vetted and onto my particular brand of beneficial mayhem with the kids I've taken a liking to in no time.)
